Arup offers accredited training schemes linked to professional bodies, to support your continuous professional development. This will include working closely with an expert mentor from Arup's global team of experienced specialists.

Foundation and induction weeks
Graduates at Arup attend an induction course prior to joining, enabling you to learn more about the firm and meet your peers. Each graduate then attends a foundation week to develop specialist skills to apply in their jobs.

Training and e-learning
There are hundreds of internal training courses, from personal development courses like presenting skills to specialist technical courses. There are also a number of courses to help you better understand how the firm operates.

Secondment
As part of their development many graduates will be given the opportunity to have a secondment in the form of visits to manufacturers, contractors, specialist suppliers or other relevant academic or industrial institutions. Secondments can be arranged throughout the UK, or sometimes overseas.

International placements
Within the first two years you can apply to work overseas, with colleagues and clients from different cultural backgrounds and gain an understanding of the values of the firm. International placements can last anything from a month to a few years.

Professional chartership
Depending on the group you join, your professional training could be towards becoming a chartered engineer, completing corporate finance qualifications or other professional chartership.

Arup University
You will have the opportunity to register for hundreds of professional training modules and masters-level modular studies designed to develop you as an individual and to meet the firm's strategic business needs.
