We now welcome over 33 million customers through our doors and over 6.1 million people to our website every single week. And our continued growth has seen us develop new channels and expand into new markets. Meaning, for you, that we can offer virtually unlimited opportunities.

So whether you want to pursue a career in retail management or specialise in one of the many Head Office disciplines that make our business tick, the perfect role is waiting for you here at M&S.

Experience is the best teacher, which is why M&S likes to throw you in at the deep end. Real responsibilities on real projects, from day one (no, really). But the learning isn't just one way: M&S is eager to hear your fresh ideas, to have it's ways challenged, in order to grow the business.

Of course, it all starts with a comprehensive introduction to M&S. You're never on your own with M&S. During this time, you'll get a basic overview of the business, along with all the information you need about your new role and life with one of the nation's brightest brands.

On-the-job training
M&S has plenty of training opportunities in store, which vary according to your scheme. Learn while you earn, shouldering real responsibilities with your M&S team, as they tackle the ever-changing issues of the day. You will be given a specific area of responsibility or a project to manage yourself fairly early on - say yes, it's a great chance to shine.

Store attachments
Theory's all well and good, but few plans survive contact with the customer. Through it's Store Attachment programme you'll get hands-on experience in one of M&S's stores. Depending on your graduate programme the attachment could be anything from one week up to three months.

Corporate Training Programme
M&S's cutting-edge workshops will hone your business abilities, ranging from skills foundation and competency training to full-on project management.

Technical training
M&S is investing heavily in smarter technology to achieve it's vision of becoming the world's most successful multi-channel retailer. That's why it will invest plenty of time with you to ensure you receive all the right technical training.

Role-specific training
You will be supported throughout your career at M&S and, with role-specific training, helped to reach your goals.

Development reviews
Unlike many companies, M&S performance management isn't just a case of it saying jump higher. It ensures your achievements are recognised, your feedback is heard and, of course, that your career is progressing. After all, M&S only performs well when everyone at the company does.

What does the future hold?

When your scheme ends, you'll have a good understanding of how the business works. You'll also be ready for your first big M&S management role - perhaps leading a team, or running an area of the business worth millions of pounds. How far you go after that is entirely up to you.
