eLearning is an integral part of our Skills & Learning business and produces a cost effective, highly interactive and informative solution that helps our customers achieve their goals. Despite the size and reach of Babcock's Skills and Learning business, a great part of our success is down to the fact that we are able to offer our clients a bespoke service, tailored to very specific business needs. This is carried out through our team of highly professional and dedicated staff. Over the course of two years, your programme will engage you in exciting real-life business projects and challenges. You'll support on various eLearning projects alongside some of our prestigious automotive clients as well as supporting with some very exciting projects within our London Fire Brigade (LFB) contract.
Our Skills and Learning business is one of the UK's largest private sector training providers. We provide training to organisations so that they can in turn deliver better training to their people. We take great pride in the world-class instruction we offer. And we're getting recognised for it. In fact, in 2013 we were voted 'Vocational Education Provider of the Year' - for the second consecutive year. Each year we train around 45,000 people from more than 5,500 private and public sector organisations drawn from across a range of sectors, including automotive, nuclear, oil and gas, and utilities. To get involved in that range of work, you'll need to be a real people's person, with excellent communication and motivation skills, and the ability to keep your cool when you have competing priorities.
Your home base will be Milton Keynes, London, Portsmouth or Reading, but you'll need to be ready and willing to move throughout the programme.
Over the course of four six-month placements, you'll work closely with senior managers and eLearning departments on various eLearning development projects. This will help you strengthen your technical skills within various eLearning packages as well as develop your stakeholder management skills working closely with clients from both the Automotive and London Fire Brigade (LFB) sectors of Skills & Learning. Along the way, you'll gain in-depth knowledge and experience of various eLearning and Blended Learning techniques.

At least a 2:1 degree specialising in any of the following; eLearning, Virtual or Distance Learning. You won't need any additional formal qualifications, but if you've had exposure to Business, Projects and Blended Learning - or if you have relevant work experience - it will certainly strengthen your application. We'll also look for you to be a positive team player with a proactive approach to work and excellent communication skills.
